Support
Course length: 5 days
Course
description
Overview: Students will learn
advanced system and network support for Windows NT 4.0.
Prerequisites: To ensure your continued
success, students must first complete the
Software Training course,
Windows NT 4.0: System Administration or have
extensive equivalent knowledge, and have a basic understanding
of the Internet. For example, you should know how to launch an application,
create and save files, and copy files from CDs and other media. The
Software Training classes, Internet
Explorer 5.x is designed to teach these skills, though it is not required.
Delivery
method:
Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured
hands-on and minds-on activities and lab activities.
Benefits: Students will learn how to
support, secure, and troubleshoot Windows NT Servers and Workstations,
including printers, disks and file systems, and applications, within both
homogenous and heterogeneous Windows NT networks.
Target
student:
Students enrolling in this course should understand Windows NT 4.0 system
administration.
What's
next:
Windows NT 4.0: System Administration is
the first course in this series.
Software Training’s Windows NT Server 4.0: Advanced Server Series,
the next course in this series, teaches students how to implement directory
services, optimize server performance, analyze network traffic, and perform
advanced troubleshooting. Students who want to learn advanced features can
take a variety of elective courses, such as: Internet Information Server 3.0: Web Site Administration or Implementing and Supporting TCP\IP on Windows
NT 4.0.
Performance-based
objectives
Lesson objectives help students become comfortable
with the course, and also provide a means to evaluate learning. Upon successful
completion of this course, students will be able to:
