PowerPoint 97: Advanced

Course description

Overview: Students will learn advanced features of PowerPoint, as well as how to embed Microsoft Word tables and Microsoft Excel charts in a presentation. This course meets the Microsoft Proficiency Guidelines for PowerPoint at the Expert level.

 

Prerequisites: To ensure your continued success, students must first complete the Software Training course PowerPoint 97: Introduction, or have extensive equivalent knowledge, and have a basic understanding of your computer's operating system, and the Internet. For example, you should know how to launch an application, create and save files, and copy files from CDs and other media. The classes, Windows 98: Introduction, and Internet Explorer 5.x are designed to teach these skills, though they are not required.

 

Delivery method: Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

 

Benefits: Students will learn how to create their own presentation template and use advanced drawing techniques. They will also be introduced to the Meeting Minder and animation effects.

 

Target student: Students enrolling in this course should have a working knowledge of PowerPoint, as well as a basic understanding of word processing and spreadsheet concepts.
